About Me
I have been legally blind since being involved in a motor vehicle accident at the age of two.
As a fiercly independent person, my personal philosiphy has always been one of engaging mainstream services and facilities, equitable non-discriminatory community participation, and, merit based involvement for all. This approach has seen me develop personal skills and techniques which assist in overcoming barriers to equitable access to, and participation in all aspects of community life.
Among some of my more notable achievements, I would list my UWA Bachelor of Commerce degree, 20 years participation in open field hockey competition, a successful home life with my wife, four children and three grandchildren, and my professional and personal contribution to the disability movement.
Along with working on my successful professional career, I also love to surf, play the guitar, garden and spend quality time with my beautiful family.
